How to Xbox Wireless Controller on PC with AntiMicro

Hey what up this is Eddy04 and today we’re going to have a quick tutorial on how to use your Xbox wireless controller on pc using anti-micro for games that don’t even support gamepad.

Configuration now even though this is focused on the Xbox wireless controller you can use your PlayStation 5 Dual Sense controller, your PlayStation 4 controller, even the Nintendo pro controller. Okay so we just dive into our computer and I’m going to go ahead into my steam library and I just want to show you the potential that is available with Antimicro.

Controller configuration alternatives

Now I know by using steam and a gamepad connected to your computer there’s a whole bunch of games that are available that are compatible with gamepads; now one of the things that I did here for this video is that I disabled any kind of configuration for a gamepad or game controller on pc especially on steam and we’re going to use Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 as a test subject to show you all the capabilities of using anti-micro especially for games that do not support game pads or game controllers.

What kind of games could be those? Probably RPGs they’re I mean old school RPGs were not set up for game pads or controllers. You know you had to use your mouse and keyboard also other shooter games that are not so modern and you still have to use your mouse and your keyboard well definitely by using anti-micro you can make a combination of your keyboard and your mouse and binding all those inputs into a game pad.

Prepare Game Settings for Antimicro

So what we’re going to do first is go into big picture; I know that a lot of users don’t use big picture that much but I believe is the easiest way to get to your controller settings so I’m going to use my Xbox wireless controller

I’m going to go into the settings and I’m going to drop into the control settings just to show you that all kind of configuration support for gamepads PlayStation, Xbox Nintendo pro controller all those are turned off which means that games that normally support a gamepad won’t even work with a gamepad anymore.

In this case as I mentioned before I’m going to be using Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 because that is an Xbox port but I know that even if you don’t have a gamepad connected to your computer or you have all the configuration supports disabled you can still use your keyboard to play.

So also if you can see the intro right now nothing is skipping, but if I press enter now I’m going to be able to get into the game. Now I know it actually has the input layout for a gamepad because that’s how the game is it’s a port from Xbox so if I press anything it doesn’t work but if I press enter I’ll be able to get into the game so I just want to show you that the current key bindings are available.

Check for the game keyboard binds

I’m going to go into keyboard settings and I can see that there’s a couple of settings here where my keyboard keys are bound already to do certain things in the game. Now as I mentioned before it doesn’t work with the gamepad; right now because everything is disabled so we’re gonna exit out of this game and now I’m gonna show you the power that is available within anti-micro and how you can use this for a lot of other options not only this game but any other game available.

Antimicro works with any software

There is even things that are not specifically games you can bind them into a gamepad and control your computer with a controller.

So the first thing I want to show you here is that you can either install the Antimicro software or you can use the portable version now in this case .

I’m going to first start with the installation process which is the main Antimicro software now if you’re interested in downloading the software you can go ahead and check download from the download options above.

How to install Antimicro software in PC

So as we load the actual software. It is really straight-forward and it already detects that I have a game controller connected to the pc. In this case is the Xbox wireless controller it doesn’t really define all the names of the gamepads that are connected but for me is more than enough because it works as expected.

In this case as soon as I go ahead and move my gamepad buttons or press my buttons in my gamepad I will see that it’s going to be responding and this is the beauty of using this. It automatically knows that you have a game controller there and if you had more than one controller then it would detect all the different tabs with all the controls that are available

Now using the Antimicro setup is really straightforward there’s nothing too complex; the only thing you need to do is actually add the keys or the mouse movements into the buttons right into Antimicro.

Configuring Antimicro for gaming

So in this case the first thing we want to start doing is setting up our d-pads because it’s the easiest one now for us we need to use as a reference whatever is already configured in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

In this case we’re gonna start with the d-pad as I mentioned what you want to do is actually just sit down for a minute and start using your keyword to start binding every single key that is available. In this case for your d-pad pressing up you want to press up in your keyboard right it’s right down is down and you can also click on the button from the keyboard so if I click on the left button here I can look into all my key-binds and look for the button that says left.

I’m going to go ahead and look for my back key and my start key because those according to the keyboard is supposed to be backspace then we got the d-pad and then it’s supposed to be an “O” and now so at this point I’m not going to close Antimicro because we’re going to be testing it out but you do not need to keep it open as long as you save the configuration and you minimize Antimicro that’s more than enough for you to be able to use all the settings that you configured into the key binding. We’re going to go ahead and load again.

So I went ahead and put the game side by side so you can see Antimicro actually working while playing; and as you know we want to go ahead and test this out.

That was pretty easy; Okay so now that we finish configuring and testing out the game the last thing that I would recommend is actually saving the controller configuration for the future so you can have it there and you can actually switch between configurations whenever you want to if you’re planning on playing a specific game.

Now in this case this is the same file that I want to be adding into the download section above.

Make sure to backup your Antimicro controller configuration

So after you have added the file name one of the most important things here is that you want to make sure that the file type is amgp for anti-micro game profile as long as you have that same extension you should be good to load these configurations as long as you keep that same file name with the correct extension amgp Antimicro game profile will be able to load that into your settings.

Now the extra bonus is actually setting this up with the portable version which as I mentioned at the beginning is exactly the same thing just that is actually zipped together and it has all the files that it needs to be able to run it.

How to use Antimicro Portable

So in this case what I’m going to do is uninstall Antimicro so I’m going to go ahead and close this out now it’s nowhere to be found now the next thing is to actually extract the portable version of Antimicro and I’m going to go ahead and extract it out just to show you that is really straightforward if you want to use the portable version.

The only thing that the portable version won’t install in your computer; open up the folder and as you can see I’ll have all the files that I need for this to work properly now in this case I’m going to right click an enter micro I’m going to run it as an administrator.

I always recommend running the software as an administrator because they have to be running in the background and the resources of your computer needs to be allocated to them so as you see the same thing is running here.

I have my Xbox wireless controller and it’s still responding to the buttons the only thing is that nothing is configured right now.

In this case what I recommend is that if you’re going to be using the portable version; the best thing you can do is actually save the profiles into the profiles folder so we’re going to be loading the same profile that we generated or recreated recently by just clicking on load so here we got the natural shooter and ultimate ninja student for game controller and to Antimicro gamepad profile.

We select it, we open it and this should load all the configuration that we currently have which means that if we press our buttons it’s going to go ahead and send those key bindings so if
