How to PS4 Controller on Naruto Shinobi Striker on PC

Hey what up this is Eddy04 and today we’ll learn how to get our PS4 controller on Naruto Shinobi Striker. First thing first, I’d never put that much effort into Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Strikers, probably I just saw a couple of videos and demoed the game. But that was it.

Since the community has been asking, I decided to thoroughly test x360ce with a PS4 controller on Naruto Shinobi Striker. I just got one thing to say… The game is fun, maybe not as much as Ninja Storm 4, but at least it is not JUMP FORCE, which I also tested, but definitely couldn’t bother on going through.

The main Reason x360ce is need for PS4 Controllers

The main reason why we are using x360 controller emulator is because PlayStation Controllers are not natively xinput devices to be used in PC. So, we need a little work around to get our game on.

This is what happens when we initially encounter trying to play Naruto Shinobi Strikers with a PS4 Controller, regardless of BIG Picture and Steam drivers running. This game wasn’t designed for controllers so it won’t work natively without some work.

Where to Install x360ce for Shinobi Striker

We’ll start by locating our Game folder to add the x360ce and set it up. I know I’m currently using Steam Library to find the game folder, but if your game is not running from Steam the location might be slightly different.

Now for the x360ce you can download them from the links in the description below. If you use x360ce version 4 then you won’t need to add into the game folder.

Check out this video to learn how to set up any game controller on PC with x360 controller emulator version 4. For this video we’ll focus on using version 3 which is my favorite method since you don’t need to keep the software running, compared to ver. 4.

Once we have located the Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Strikers folder we still need to dig a little deeper. Just adding the x360ce in this folder won’t do. So we’ll need to go to the binaries folder. That’s in NARUTO and then Binaries, then Win64 and the true game executable file is NARUTO-Win64-Shipping.exe.

Here is where you want to drop in your x360ce app and now Run as Administrator. At this point, it is important to stress you need to click on Create so the DLL file is created correctly. If the initial installation fails to add the xinput.dll file or its missing. Go back and run as administrator for the prompt to ask for the DLL file.

How to configure DualShock4 controller buttons

Now we’ll look up the controller settings online. Just make sure Search automatically for Settings is selected, the Search the internet box is checked and click on Next. After a couple of seconds it should find settings for Naruto Strikers and then click on finish.

The fun part, we need to map our game controller. You could try Auto, but that option doesn’t provide the best experience since the buttons don’t match so I’d rather remap my buttons to the proper setup. Final Thoughts
