Can you play AION 2 with your friends? Yes, but co-op works differently than in most MMORPGs.
Unlike traditional MMORPGs, AION 2 focuses heavily on solo story progression. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy multiplayer content with your friends. In this guide I explain how co-op actually works, including cross-server friends, Elyos and Asmodian factions, and the Expeditions you can unlock together. It follows my video on the same topic.

Most of your progress in AION 2 comes from the solo story. You level up on your own, and the multiplayer content opens up at specific points. Knowing when it unlocks saves you from waiting around for friends who can’t join yet.
You can add friends and create parties in AION 2 to play together. The video shows the steps on screen. Cooperative play has limits, so plan around them, especially which faction your friends choose.
The first cooperative Expeditions become available as you level. These are the ones I cover:
Plan your dungeon progression with your friends, so you reach these levels around the same time.
Higher-level Expeditions come later and depend on your item level, along with Transcendence and PvP. I explain what you can and can’t experience together at that stage in the video.
AION 2 has two factions, Elyos and Asmodian, and they come with restrictions on who you can play with. Choose your faction carefully before you start. The video explains how cross-faction Expeditions work.
You can add friends from another server. You need their character name and their server identifier. The video shows exactly how to enter them.

Nightmare mode is solo content, so you won’t be able to bring friends along for it. Keep that in mind when you plan what to do together.
Yes, but with limits. Choose your faction carefully, plan your dungeon progression, and understand how cross-server multiplayer works.
Do you prefer traditional cooperative MMOs or AION 2’s solo-focused leveling? Let me know in the comments on the YouTube video.
Yes. You can add friends, create parties and run cooperative Expeditions, but AION 2 is mostly solo story progression.
Yes, using their character name and server identifier.
There are faction restrictions. The video explains how cross-faction Expeditions work, so choose your faction carefully.

AION 2 isn’t built for constant group play, but you can still enjoy it with friends if you plan your faction and progression. Watch the full video on YouTube for the step-by-step.
