Your inventory fills up fast in AION 2, but that doesn’t mean you should start deleting everything. Old gear and leftover materials can often be extracted, stored, or turned in for something useful.

In this guide I’ll go through how I manage my Cube, what I do with old equipment, how Item Extraction works, and how Character and Server Storage keep everything organized. This post follows my video on the same topic.

The Quick Tip: Don’t Delete Yet

Before you get rid of old equipment or materials, check whether you can extract it, store it, or use it for an Abyss Supply Request. That item taking up space might still be useful.

AION 2 has several systems for handling the gear and materials you pick up while progressing through the story. Understanding them early can save you a lot of inventory space later.

AION 2 Inventory Management: Your Cube

Your Cube is your main inventory. Everything you loot, craft, or buy ends up here, so it’s the first thing to fill up.

The Cube has categories and filters, which make it much easier to find what you’re looking for. Instead of scrolling through a long list of mixed items, switch to the category you need.

Organize and Sort Your Inventory

Take a minute to sort your inventory. A sorted Cube makes it obvious what’s junk, what’s still useful, and what’s worth extracting. I recommend doing this every time you come back to town.

What to Do With Old Gear in AION 2

When you replace a piece of equipment, the old one doesn’t have to become dead weight. Your options are:

  • Extract it using Item Extraction.
  • Store it in Character Storage or Server Storage.
  • Use it for an Abyss Supply Request, if it qualifies.

How Item Extraction Works

Item Extraction breaks down gear you no longer need and gives you something back for it, so you’re not just throwing items away. The video shows exactly what you get from extraction.

Bulk Item Extraction and Kinah

If you have a lot of old gear, you don’t have to extract it piece by piece. Bulk extraction lets you process many items at once, which saves a lot of time when your Cube is overflowing. It also ties into your Kinah, so keep an eye on that as you go.

Don’t Delete Your Items!

It’s tempting to clear space by deleting whatever is in the way. Don’t. Once an item is gone, it’s gone. Extract it, store it, or check whether an Abyss Supply Request can use it first.

Character Storage vs Server Storage

AION 2 gives you two places to keep items outside your Cube:

  • Character Storage is tied to the character you’re playing.
  • Server Storage is shared across your characters on the server, which makes it useful for moving items between them.

Use Character Storage for things your current character needs, and Server Storage for items you want to share with your other characters.

Abyss Supply Requests

Abyss Supply Requests are another way to put gear and materials to use instead of leaving them in your Cube. Before you extract or delete something, check whether a request can use it.

Managing Your Kinah

Kinah is your main currency, and it comes from several places while you clear out your inventory. Keep track of it as you extract and sell, so you know where it’s coming from and what you can afford later.

How to Expand Your Cube

If you still need more room after all that, there’s an easy way to expand your Cube so you can carry more while exploring Atreia. I show the steps in the video at the 04:50 mark.

Final AION 2 Inventory Tips

  1. Sort your Cube regularly and use the categories and filters.
  2. Extract old gear instead of deleting it.
  3. Use bulk extraction when you have a lot to clear.
  4. Move items you’re keeping into Character or Server Storage.
  5. Check Abyss Supply Requests before you throw anything out.
  6. Expand your Cube when you’ve done everything else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my AION 2 inventory fill up so fast?

You pick up gear and materials constantly while progressing through the story, and most of it lands in your Cube. Regular extraction and storage keep it under control.

Should I delete old gear in AION 2?

No. Extract it, store it, or check whether it can be used for an Abyss Supply Request first.

What is the difference between Character Storage and Server Storage?

Character Storage belongs to the character you’re playing. Server Storage is shared across your characters on the server.

Can I extract multiple items at once?

Yes. AION 2 supports bulk item extraction, which is a big time saver.

Can I expand my Cube in AION 2?

Yes. The video shows an easy way to do it.

Final Thoughts

Inventory management in AION 2 isn’t hard once you know the systems. Sort your Cube, extract what you don’t need, store what you want to keep, and use Abyss Supply Requests before deleting anything. If you want to see all of it in action, watch the full video on YouTube.
