Information I collect

When you sign up for a free guide or my emails

If you request a free guide such as the Moonlight Streaming Cheat Sheet, I collect your first name and email address. My email service also records basic technical details about the signup, such as the date and time, and whether you confirmed your email address.

When you visit the website

Like most websites, this one may collect basic usage information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring sites. I use analytics tools, such as Jetpack Stats and Google Site Kit, to understand which guides are useful. These tools may use cookies.

When you contact me

If you message me through email, Discord or social media, I receive whatever you choose to send, along with the details of that platform.

Comments are turned off on this website. If you’d like to comment, please do so on the matching YouTube video.

How I use your information

• To send you the guide you requested.
• To send you emails about new guides, videos and related content on gaming, tech and streaming. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.
• To keep the website secure and working.

I do not sell your personal information.

Email service provider

Signups and emails are handled by Kit, which stores your name and email address on its servers and sends the emails for me. Kit may process data in the United States and other countries. You can read Kit’s privacy policy to see how it handles data.

Why I’m allowed to use your information

If you live somewhere with data protection laws such as the GDPR, I rely on your consent when you sign up, and on my legitimate interest in running and securing this website. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Third-party services, embeds and links

• YouTube. Articles embed YouTube videos. YouTube may set cookies and collect data when you play a video. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Social and community links. Links to Discord, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok and others take you to those services, which have their own policies.
• Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. If you buy through them I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those companies may set their own cookies when you click.

How long I keep your information

I keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. After you unsubscribe, I may keep a minimal record so that I don’t email you again.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email I send.
• Access, correction or deletion: reply to any email I’ve sent you, or message me on the Eddy04tv Discord, and ask. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain uses of your information, or to complain to your local data protection authority.
• Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as embedded videos, may not work as well without them.

Children

This website isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
